Isolation and Functional Characterization of Culture-Dependent Endophytes Associated with Vicia villosa Roth

In a natural ecosystem, endophytic fungi in the internal tissues of plants help to improve growth host and decrease negative effects biotic abiotic stresses without having adverse effects. Japan, Vicia villosa (hairy vetch), legume plant with high capacity fix nitrogen, is usually used as cover crop before soybeans enhance fertility structure soil. This study aimed isolate associated different hairy vetch evaluate their potential for growth-promoting biocontrol plants. Thirty-three fungal endophytes belonging Ascomycota Basidiomycota were isolated from leaf, stem, root grown under both greenhouse field conditions. The highest colonization frequency field-grown was obtained tissues. All isolates checked indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) siderophore production. maximum IAA content culture filtrate (4.21 μg mL−1) produced by hvef7 (Cladosporium cladosporioides), followed hvef18 (Penicillium simplicissimum) (3.02 hvef1 pseudocladosporioides) (2.32 mL−1). Nineteen among total thirty-three siderophores. Moreover, some strains could solubilize phosphate potassium. Most showed antagonistic against Calonectria ilicicola. results this show that have application promotion (PGPF) promote control disease sustainable agriculture.
